At Majo Fishing Lodge, we practice Catch & Release, a technique that allows anglers to enjoy the thrill of the fight while ensuring the survival of these incredible species — Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Sailfish, and other Billfish that define the Gulf of Panama’s rich ecosystem.

In more than 22 years of our own fishing records, the best odds have been south of the Pearl Islands and toward Piñas Bay, where deep ocean water meets the continental drop-off close to reefs that hold a lot of bait, such as the well-known Zane Grey Reef. For the best chance, we recommend a multi-day Pro Fishing Expedition or a Hacienda del Mar package of 2 to 4 days. One-day Pro Fishing trips from Vista Mar Marina mainly target blue marlin, sailfish, tuna and mahi-mahi.
